Sex Work, Criminalization, and HIV

, by San Francisco AIDS Foundation

The International AIDS Conference returns to the United States next month for the first time in more than 20 years—a long absence due largely to a ban (lifted in 2009) that had restricted travel to the United States by people with HIV.

In this article from the BETA archive, longtime advocate Anna Forbes explores the issues around sex work, criminalization, and HIV at home and across the globe.
